Commissioned by Christopher Bassett and Gerry Pagano, “Tango para Dos Bassos” is a rhythmic, playful, and melodic Tango Aria. The work combines a rhythmic ostinato with elements of lyricism. The rhythmic backdrop is one that is driving; taking advantage of the percussive abilities and nuances of these low instruments.
